Turn off programs that start at the same system on Windows 10

One of the solutions to speed up Windows 10 at the startup stage is to turn off the programs that start at startup. By default, some programs like Skype, Evernote and TeamViewer will automatically start on the system.

On Windows 7 and earlier, to remove or disable the programs that start at the same system, you can use the System Configuration utility. On Windows 8 / 8.1 and Windows 10, in addition to the above method, to remove or disable these programs you must use Task Manager. Here are a few ways to turn off programs that start with Windows 10, to help speed up your Windows 10 startup.

Once Settings has opened, click on Apps.

Click Apps

On the next screen, click Startup in the left panel. And on the right side, all installed applications that are set to boot during boot will be listed. You can scroll through the list and disable programs you don’t want to run.

  • Before you begin, it’s a good idea to create a system restore point or back up your computer so you can restore it in case any unexpected problems arise.
  • If you do these steps on controlled networks, for example work networks, the tools at this step may be disabled by the network administrator of the agency.

Click Apply when you are finished selecting.
