How to fix Settings app not working on Windows 10

Step 4. Log out of the current account and into the new user account. Try accessing the Settings app to see if it works. If that works, the next step you need to take is to transfer files from the old Windows account to the new one.

Go to the system hard drive (where Windows is installed) in File Explorer, click View in the tab at the top, then check the ” Hidden items ” box.
