How to clear Spotify cache in Windows 10

If the Spotify cache is using up disk space or if it crashes, here are the steps you should follow to clear the Spotify cache in Windows 10.

1. Location of Spotify cache

This is where Spotify stores its cache data. Depending on which version of Spotify you are using, follow the relevant cache path. Replace UserName with the actual Windows username.

  • Regular win32 (exe) cache location:
C:UsersUserNameAppDataLocalSpotifyStorage
  • Location Microsoft Store downloaded Spotify cache:

2. Clear Spotify cache in Windows

If you have the regular win32 (exe) version of Spotify installed, follow these steps to clear Spotify cache.

B1: Close Spotify if it’s running.

B2: Open the Run dialog box with the keyboard shortcut Win + R

B3: Copy the path below.

B4: Paste it into the empty field of the Run window. Click OK.
