How to change your avatar on Windows 10

In addition to replacing PC Name, using a separate avatar will help users avoid confusion when creating multiple Users on Windows 10. Besides, if you sync with your Microsoft account to access the computer calculated, the featured image will also be preserved. Follow the instructions below to create a brand new avatar on Windows 10.

Change photos in the Settings app on Windows 10

1. Do step 2 or step 3 below depending on how you want to open Your account settings .

2. Open Settings, click the Accounts icon and go to step 4 below.

4. Do step 5 (to browse), step 6 (select recent pictures), step 7 (use a webcam image) or step 8 (use a webcam video) below, depending on how you want to select your image.

5. To browse and select images:

A) Click Browse for one under Create your picture on the right side.

B) Navigate to and select the picture you want, click Choose picture and go to step 9 below.

6. To select a recently used image as your account picture, tap one of the two recent pictures that you used previously and go to step 9 below.

7. Use webcam to take pictures and use:

A) Click Camera under Create your picture .

B) Smile and face the webcam, then press the Take picture button .

C) This is where this option crashes for the article author in build 10130. However, eventually there will be an option to edit and save the image as in step 4 in part 2 below.

D) Go to step 9 below.

8. Use the webcam to create a video clip to use as your account picture:

A) Click Camera under Create your picture .

B) Click the Create video button .

C) When ready, click the Record button .

D) When finished recording, click the Stop recording button .

E) Play the recording to see if you like it. If you like it, click OK , and go to step 9 below. If you don’t like it, click Retake to try again and go to step 8C above.

9. Now, you can close Settings if you want.

Change or delete a picture for a Microsoft Online account

1. Sign in to your Microsoft online account and go to the Your info page .

2. Click Change picture .

3. Do step 4 (to change) or step 5 (to delete) below, depending on what you want to do.

4. To change the image:

A) Click New picture.

B) Navigate to and select the photo you want to use, then click Open.

C) Resize the circle to change the look of the image, click Save when done and go to step 6 below.

5. To delete pictures:

A) Click Remove.

B) Click Yes to confirm and go to step 6 below.

6. The change will eventually sync with all the PCs and devices that you signed in with with this Microsoft account.
