How to change schedule settings for Optimize Drives in Windows 10

One of the best ways you can improve your PC’s performance is by optimizing the drive. Windows includes features that help optimize the different types of drives your PC uses today. No matter which drive type your PC uses, Windows will automatically choose the right optimization for your drive.

By default, Optimize Drives, formerly known as Disk Defragmenter, runs automatically on a weekly schedule at a time when set to automatic maintenance. But you can also manually optimize the drives on your PC.

You can enable or disable scheduled optimization runs, choose how often to run, and which drives you want to optimize on a regular schedule.
