This type of BSOD occurs on your Windows computer for a number of reasons, including:

3. Scan and fix system files to fix Blue screen System_Service_Exception

In some cases, corrupted file system can be the cause of BSOD (blue screen of death) error. To fix this, you have to scan and fix Windows system files.

Usually you can use the sfc / scannow command to scan and fix corrupted system files. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Open Command Prompt under Admin.

Step 2: On the Command Prompt window , enter the following command and press Enter:

sfc /scannow

Step 3: The process of running this command will take a while, wait for the scan to reach 100% and then restart your computer.

4. Turn off the Google Automatic Update service to fix the System Service Exception error

In some cases, Google Automatic Update is the cause of the System Service Exception error on your Windows computer.

To solve this, you do the following:

Step 1: Press the Windows + R key combination to open the Run command window .

Step 2: Type the following command in the Run dialog box and press Enter:

services.msc
Enter services.msc command to open the Service window

Step 3: In the Service window that appears, scroll down to find Google Update Service. The items in the Service display alphabetically in alphabetical order, so it’s easy to find.

5. Use Troubleshooter to fix the error

If the above methods still do not fix the SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION error, you should try to resolve it with Troubleshooter. It’s easy to do!

Step 1: First of all, we will open the Windows Settings window interface by clicking Start menu and then clicking on the cog icon .

However, starting with Windows 10 v1809, the built-in Troubleshooter in Windows for Blue Screen has been lost. So if you are using version 1809 or earlier then this will be a useful solution.

6. Update Windows 10

One of the important things to do is to check if Windows 10 is completely up to date. Outdated system files can cause unexpected errors. Checking for pending updates is a quick and easy way to find out if that’s the cause of your problem.

7. Run CHKDSK

Next, try running Windows Check Disk from Command Prompt. CHKDSK is a Windows system tool for verifying the file system and, with certain settings, will fix problems as it runs.

8. Run the Windows Driver Verifier tool

Protected system code can usually only be accessed by certain system processes or devices, which is why hardware drivers often cause System Service Exception errors in Windows 10.

Even new device drivers can cause this BSOD error, especially if you’ve installed brand new hardware. If you are not sure if your driver caused this BSOD error to occur, you can run the Windows Driver Verifier tool to check it.

This is a troubleshooting tool designed to stress test the system driver. 9. Reset Windows 10
