The great hymn “How Great Thou Art” is based on a Swedish poem written by Carl Gustav Boberg in 1885. The melody is a Swedish folk song. It was translated into English by British missionary Stuart K. Hine who also added two original verses of his own composition. – info source: Wikipedia. The Cree (Y Dialect) translation of this hymn is from “Cree Hymns” published by The Northern Canada Evangelical Mission, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. The videos and photos are of our road trips to Haida Gwaii, BC, Moricetown, BC, Clearwater Lake, Manitoba and on the Dempster Highway to Inuvik, NWT. The lyrics are written in Standard Roman Orthography (SRO) in Woodland Cree (Y Dialect).
