Urban Structure of Localities

Construction development and usage of the land can be divided into 3 categories.
The first category (the town and the industrial zone Karakaj) has over 50% of Construction development.
Heavily populated village settlements (Divic, Kozluk, G. Šepak, and newly built settlements of Ekonomija, Ulice and Brnjevo) belong to the second category, with Construction development of about 50%.

The third category consists of straggling villages with about 5% of Construction development.
A dispersion of production capacities in the industrial zone and the reconstruction of the most heavily populated areas in the town are conducted with the aim to reduce pollution and increase the level of safety.

The roads, especially those in the town and industrial area, are kept serviceable in several directions without dead-ends. By placing the railroad and rail station in Karakaj in operation, the traffic of the Zvornik Municipality will be disburdened in directions of all big enterprises.
The urban structure is fairly developed. A large number of power-transmission lines to the alumina plant “BIRAČ” and transformer-station in Zvornik, Karakaj and Kozluk have been built.
The main pipeline has been built over the whole Municipality territory, from Šepak to Snagovo. The town pipeline from Karakaj to Zvornik and the regional waterworks from Sopotnik to Karakaj have been built as well as the 110 KW power-transmission line for Krajina.

Telephone, telegraph and radio traffic is also considerably developed in the Municipality area.
Apart from town telephone and telegraph lines, many villages have built telephone exchanges and got involved in this kind of traffic.
