Road
Network
The Municipality road network consists of 936 km, with 73 km of
main roads, 22 km of regional and 260 km of local roads, as well
as 560 km of non-categorized roads. The main roads network consists
of Zvornik – Konjević Polje, Zvornik – Karakaj – Crni Vrh, Karakaj
– Sepak – Donja Pilica.
The regional roads are: Karakaj – Šetici and Drinjača – Zelinje.
About 40 settlements are connected to the main and regional roads
by the local roads and the rest of the settlements in the Municipality
are connected by the non-categorized roads.
Communications of about 20 km have been built in the Zvornik settlements
of Kozluk and Divic.
Railway traffic is not developed in the Municipality. The Municipality
is connected to Serbia by the normal gauge railway, from Karakaj
to Belgrade via Šabac. The Tuzla – Zvornik railway connects the
Municipality to the Federation BIH.
Long traffic disruptions may occur on the local and non-categorized
roads in winter due to heavy snows, especially in the following
directions: Kozluk – Malešić, Zvornik – Snagovo, Kamenički most
– Gornja Kamenica, Oraovac – Kitovnice and Kosa – Pećine.
