Zvornik’s
Coat of Arms
Zvornik
Municipality’s coat of arms was adopted in 1996. It represents
a reconstruction of the old coat of arms and a combination of
several symbols.
The symbol of Municipality is a coat of arms which incorporates
several symbols.
A bell with a cross and four letters "S" in the upper
left quadrant on a blue background symbolizes the original name
of the town –Zvonik, which is related to the word ‘bell’, and
number 1410 represents the year when the town was named Zvornik.
A tower in the upper left quadrant on a red background is the
symbol of the town.
Stylized wolf’s head in the lower left quadrant, on a red background,
represents peoples’ constant struggle for freedom.
Water waves in the lower right quadrant symbolize the river Drina.
The use of symbols is regulated by a special decree of the Municipal
Assembly.
